NEPAL

NEPAL is a small country in Asia. Its total area having 1,47,181 sq. km. and population about 24 millions, is located between the 2 big countries INDIA and CHINA. It is famous for trekking & expedition because of its mighty and beautiful Himalayas. It is renowned for its natural scenic beauties. It is also known as the country of uncountable MOUNTAINS & HIMALAYAS and rich cultural heritage.

NEPAL is rich in cultural heritage. There are many colorful festivals. Some festivals are celebrated with great pomp and joy. Hardly a day passed without special festivities and celebrations. Most festivals are held according to the lunar calendar. Each festival has spiritual meaning and shows the people's regards and respect to the gods, parents, teachers and nature. Some festivals are also to honor and worship useful animals. Some of these festivals have been celebrated from initial period of Nepalese civilization. Every religion is of high regard. The most important aspect of our culture is religious harmony. Though Nepal is called as a Hindu kingdom, there are many religions here with very good relationships with each other. Hinduism and Buddhism are especially flourished here for thousands of years. It is a holy land as it is the birth place of Lord BUDDHA an apostle of peace & compassion. Much of the art & architecture, such as Swayambhunath, Changunarayan temple, Pasupatinath etc, are based on Hindu & Buddhist philosophy.
