Patan
Also known as Lalitpur, is the city of fine arts. The city is enclosed within 4
stupas. These stupas were said to have been built in the 3rd century AD by Emperor Ashoka of India. Highlights: Durbar Square, the Patan Old City palace with a bronze collection, the Krishna Mandir built by King Siddhi Narasingh
Malla, and Mahabouddha Temple. A trip to the Tibetan Refugee Camp will also be conducted. Here you will witness the hand weaving of Tibetan carpets and the molding of metal statues. Patan is located 5 km from Kathmandu..

Pashupatinath
This is one of the holiest Hindu temples near the banks of the Bagmati River. Pashupatinath is located 8 km from Kathmandu.

This is the biggest stupa in the world! Houses of prayer ring this shrine.

Swayambhunath
This Buddhist Stupa is about 2000 years old. The
stupa, which forms the main structure, is composed
of bricks and earth supporting a lofty conical
spire capped by a pinnacle of copper gilt. Painted
on the four sides are the all seeing eyes of Lord
Buddha. Swayambhunath is located 4 km from
Kathmandu.

Budhanilkantha
Is located at the foot of the Shivapuri range, 8 km from Kathmandu. The reclining image of Vishnu dates back to the 5th century AD!

Bhaktapur
Bhaktapur means: "The city of devotees". Bhadgaon was founded in the 9th century and is shaped like a conch shell. Highlights: Durbar square the palace with 55 windows, Nyatapola temple. Thimi clay pottery is the traditional occupation of this village. Bhadgaon is located 14 km east of Kathmandu.

Dakshinkali
Dakshinkali means: "The Kali of the south". This temple is dedicated to the Goddess Kali, a Hindu goddess of power. Goats and chicken are sacrificed every Saturday.

This historical town has many things to offer such as old shrines and temples. Kirtipur is a small medieval town 8-km southwest of Kathmandu.

Nagarkot
Nagarkot, a
quiet, cozy little resort town located 32 km far
from Kathmandu at an altitude of 2100 meters, is
an excellent place from which to see the sunrise
over the Himalayas. From here, visitors can enjoy
stunning views of numerous peaks and sub-ranges of
the Himalayas, such as the Ganesh, Langtang, Jugal,
Rolwaling and Solukhumbu areas. On a clear day,
visitors can even see Mt. Everest and the massive
south face of Mt. Lhotse from Nagarkot. Wide
ranges of hotels of different price ranges are
also available and there are excellent facilities
for tourists.
